FAULTY DIET IS A MAJOR CAUSE OF POOR HEALTH
In 1979 a special report was issued by the U.S. Surgeon General, citing more than 2,000 scientific studies from around the world, and compiled with the advice of more than 2,000 doctors, biochemists and nutritionists, who concluded that the normal American diet is dangerous. Of the 2.1 million Americans who died that year, the report said that 1.5 million died from diseases associated with diet. The report stressed that most people should reduce the consumption of fat, especially saturated fats, such as from eggs, butter, or untrimmed red meats. (1) Today it is much worse.
Cancer, heart disease, arthritis, fibromyalgia and auto-immune diseases are increasing at an alarming rate. Much poisoning of the body has been caused by the use of improper foods, such as meat, dairy products, white sugar, candy, sodas, diet products, white flour, white rice, processed foods, fast food fats and frying of foods, pesticides in our fruits and vegetables, chemicals we come in contact with, chemicals we breath along with the use of liquor, tobacco, coffee, and all other denatured foods. Good wholesome food builds good blood, where as unwholesome foods build a poor quality of blood.
For years the National Cancer Institute held fast to the principal that diet had nothing to do with disease. But recent overwhelming evidence has forced them to change their mind. They now even recommend that one consume more fruits and vegetables (7 to 10 servings) in their daily diets. "A variety of fruits, and leafy green and yellow vegetables, including carrots and broccoli, all contain vitamins and fiber, and should be a part of everyone's daily diet", says the National Cancer Institute.
We must keep our body's immune system high. This is done by following these simple rules briefly covered here. Lots of fresh clean air, use pure water, not tap water, eating lots of wholesome natural foods, getting sufficient rest, moderate daily exercise, getting outside in the sun as often as possible, being thoughtful in all we eat, work on more positive thinking and having faith in God.
ELIMINATE SUGAR AND JUNK FOODS
Eating white sugar will paralyze and hinder your white blood cells from fighting off an infection. Eating 25 teaspoons of sugar will paralyze 92% of your white blood cells for approximately five hours. The average American eats over 42 teaspoons (or more) of sugar per day. For example: A banana split has 24 teaspoons of sugar. A 12 oz. coke has approx. 8-10 teaspoons, a piece of white bread 2 teaspoons. Sugar or empty calories and junk foods interfere with the working of the body's immune system.
Diets high in refined fats (saturated fats) have long been associated with increased cancer and heart risk.
This is very important. Eat more raw fruits, vegetables, nuts and sprouted grains. Raw food is live food and possesses the highest nutritive value. It is full of natural vitamins, minerals, enzymes, phyto-nutrients, natural phyto-chemicals, etc. Cooked food is dead food. Plant any seed and it will grow. Cook the seed and then plant it and it will not grow, because its life principle has been destroyed. (2)
How much? It depends upon how much you weigh, take your weight, divide it in half and that is how many ounces of water you need in a 24 hour period. If you are working out in the hot sun and perspiring, you would need more. Example: you weigh 160 lbs., half of that is 80 so you need 80 ounces, which would be 10 eight ounce glasses. The type of water we need is soft water, water that has no synthetic minerals, as the minerals in water are usually inorganic. The minerals in food are organic; our body needs natural organic minerals. Two types of water that have no minerals are distilled water and reverse-osmosis water.
Expose as much of the body to the sun. Don't bake and burn you skin. Just 15 minutes a day will give you natural vitamin D which is necessary in our diets, and the sun will help the body manufacture interferon. White blood cells in our body manufacture this wonderful interferon. Sunlight is a great stimulus for increased white blood cell production and thereby increases the production of interferon.
BARE FEET ON THE SOIL EVERY DAY
Everything on this planet has an electrical frequency = the earth, seeds, plants, animals, and the human body. Bodies can easily get off the electrical frequency that they are supposed to be on. How do you get it back on track? By standing or walking bare foot in the soil. Spend at least 10 minutes a day outside barefoot in the soil whenever possible.
Deep breathing of fresh outside negatively charged air, helps cleanse the lungs, oxygenate, and increase circulation. Fresh air from the ocean, near a river or waterfall or after a rain storm is not only negatively charged but is high in oxygen which is very beneficial for the body. Be sure to have plenty of fresh air in your bedroom as you sleep, keep a window open, even in the winter if possible. *
Brisk walking, from one to five miles a day is excellent exercise. If you do not have the strength, start slowly and gradually increase the distance. Exercise outside is 10 times more beneficial then indoors. Yoga stretching and strengthening is very important for keeping the muscles, tendons and ligaments in the body youthful and flexible. It helps the body detoxify and keeps the body oxygenated.
GET 7-8 HOURS SLEEP EVERY NIGHT
The earlier you go to bed the better. Every hour of sleep before midnight is worth two hours, every hour after midnight is worth one.
LEARN TO DEAL WITH STRESS
Stress creates all sorts of imbalances in the body. We cannot hold anxieties, anger, hate or selfishness inside ourselves or we simply will not be balanced. The mind greatly affects the body. I believe that 80% of all illness starts somewhere in the mind. King Solomon, a wise man said, "A merry heart doeth good like a medicine", Proverbs 17:22. Learn positive prayer or meditation techniques to start the new and positive thought processes and watch how your thoughts will change for the better. Emotional freedom techniques is one great program to incorporate into your daily programming. I have found that it works quite the same as the master teachers teach and that would be including Jesus: acceptance of others or the events that happen, forgive others, release the frustrations and ask yourself to love and balance your thoughts. It actually works if you practice it, and then watch how YOU WILL GROW into a more positive, logical, loving and caring person able to handle situations in life much better.
If a person follows the simple things I have outlined in this article they will notice improvements in their health and their thinking processes, the closer you follow this program the faster you will improve. JUST THINK of all the possibilities, it's up to YOU to do the work, no one is going to do it for you.
